update

So that's the apartment we'll be moving into this weekend.  No, not Manor Hotel.
It's really quite amazing.  We're all slightly frustrated with the decor and the service/cutlery it comes with.
But we can just pack them away and replace with our own :D

I would really like to update a lot more.  There are so many little things that amuse me so much here.  For example, I read somewhere that in Italy, or an authentic Italian cafe, you just shout your coffee order at the barister.  I thought it was rather exaggerated.  Never seen that in Sydney.  How would they remember all the orders?  Well last Saturday we had brunch at La Bottega and that's exactly what happened!  Pretty impressive.  The Italians in Aust have a lot  to learn.

Oh and Hyde park is full of squirrels!  And they're not entirely afraid of people either. If you have some decent nuts to offer them, they are quite happy to snatch them off you.
